What can I do for you?

  • Does the light bulb flicker?
    1.
    Please check if your light bulb is dimmable.
    2.
    Please set the dimmer on the switch to maximum, dimmer set too low might cause flickering.
  • Base Switch does not work
    1.
    Please check if the night light on the Base Switch is on and the color is white.
    2.
    If not, please check the wiring of the Base Switch is correct. After that, make sure you turned on the circuit breaker.
    3.
    Make sure your light bulb is correctly installed.
  • Does Base Switch support fluorescent lights?
    -
    Yes, Base Switch can work with incandescent, halogen, fluorescent, and LED lighting.
  • Is the Base Switch waterproof?
    -
    No, almost all electrical switches are not waterproof including the Base Switch. Be careful and avoid exposing light switches to water.
  • Can I control the Base Switch from another city?
    -
    To protect our home from internet hacking, we designed Base Switch to be used within your home. No Wi-Fi or internet is used to operate the Base Switch. So hackers cannot gain access to your house remotely via internet through the Base Switch, as opposed to other smart Wi-Fi devices which leave your house exposed.
  • Will Base Switch work with a three-way compatible switch?

    No, Base Switch is not compatible with three-way multi-location control switches. However combining one Base Switch, one Gecko Switch and our smartphone app, you do get multi-way and multi-location control of your light.
  • Do I need to buy an extra smart hub like with other smart devices?
    -
    No, you control your light directly with the Gecko Switch. You don’t need to buy an extra smart hub or smart bridge or anything else for that matter. The Gecko Switch is a self-contained system. We keep your life simple.
  • Do I need an additional neutral line to install the Base Switch?
    -
    Absolutely not. The Base Switch doesn’t need additional wire. Just replace your current light switch with the Base Switch using existing wires. The installation is the same as with a traditional light switch.

Base Switch

  • Gecko Switch cannot turn on the light
    1.
    Please check if you can use the Base Switch to turn on/off the light.
    2.
    If yes, please check the night light of the Gecko Switch. Replace the battery if the night light is off.
    3.
    If the night light is white but still cannot turn on/off the light. Please reset the Base Switch by pressing and holding down both “+” and “-“ key for 30 seconds. If you hear the music, the Base Switch has reset successfully.
    4.
    If still not working, the link between the Gecko Switch and Base Switch could be broken. To repair the link, you can hold BOTH the main switch button and the “+” button for 3 seconds on both the Gecko Switch and the Base Switch.
  • The Gecko Switch make a beep noise every time when I turn on/off the light.

    If the night light is red and blinking, that means the batteries is low. Please replace the batteries.
  • What types of wall surfaces do the Gecko Glue sticks best to?
    -
    The Gecko Glue works best on flat, smooth, and clean surfaces, including stainless steel, plastic, cement, glass, wood, smooth plaster and wall paint. Not recommended for use on wallpaper, delicate surfaces or walls painted with delicate flat paint. It may damage some substrates upon removal.
  • Is the Gecko Switch waterproof?

    No, almost all electrical switches are not waterproof including the Gecko Switch. Be careful and avoid exposing light switches to water.

Gecko Switch

  • I cannot find any Base Switch on the APP
    1.
    Please move your smartphone closer to the Base Switch.
    2.
    Please check if the Base Switch is working.
    3.
    Try to reset the Base Switch may help.
    4.
    Try to remove the APP and reinstall it on the smartphone.
  • You cannot control the Base Switch using the APP.
    1.
    Make sure the APP has found the Base Switch and linked to the Base Switch.
    2.
    Please make sure the Base Switch is working properly.
    3.
    Reset the Base Switch could help. Please see below diagram.
